TECOMA DRYING TECHNOLOGY announces a new collaboration with Società Italiana Essiccatoi (S.I.E.) S.r.l.

TECOMA DRYING TECHNOLOGY is glad to announce the launch of a new collaboration with Claudio Bianchi Janetti, Managing Director of S.I.E. S.r.l., custodian of the patents and know-how developed by Eng. Bianchi and his family. Claudio Bianchi Janetti is a leading figure in the field of industrial drying technologies and, together with his family, has played a key role in the development of important entrepreneurial realities such as Società Italiana Essiccatoi (S.I.E.), CRSI SA – Centro Ricerche Sviluppo Impianti, SIE Swiss SA and Vimar Systems.

This collaboration represents a significant step in TECOMA DRYING TECHNOLOGY’s growth path and in the expansion of its technological portfolio, which is enriched by the experience and solutions developed over the years by S.I.E., with particular reference to advanced fluid bed drying technologies.

Thanks to this synergy, TECOMA DRYING TECHNOLOGY and Claudio Bianchi Janetti will combine their expertise, experience and technological know-how with the aim of offering the market increasingly efficient, compact, flexible and customizable solutions, capable of meeting the most diverse requirements of industrial drying processes.

TS SPN PULSE Fluid Bed Technology

The system is based on a controlled turbulence principle, designed to ensure homogeneous, safe and energy-efficient drying, adapting to the specific physical and process characteristics of the treated product.

Main technical features:

  • Extremely compact structure with reduced footprint.
  • Bag filtration system with integrated reverse cleaning directly above the drying chamber.
  • High-efficiency inlet air filtration, up to 99.95%, with systems designed for easy maintenance.
  • Adjustable side discharge through a rotary valve, allowing the residence time and drying time to be modulated without stopping the plant.
  • Possibility of operation in continuous or batch mode, depending on the characteristics and behaviour of the product.
  • Construction available in carbon steel, AISI 304, AISI 310, AISI 316 or titanium.
  • Customizable air or nitrogen heating systems according to process requirements.
  • Possibility of closed-loop configuration for the treatment of solvent-containing products under controlled nitrogen atmosphere.
  • Solvent condensation and recovery systems through shell-and-tube heat exchangers or scrubbers.
  • Advanced electronic control of the main process parameters.
  • Siemens PLC with dedicated S.I.E. software.
  • HMI touchscreen operator interface and integrated electrical control panel.
  • CE marking and configurations compliant with the requirements of the food and pharmaceutical sectors.

Operating principle

The particular configuration of the system generates a rotational movement and controlled fluidization of the product inside the drying chamber, promoting the formation of a dynamic stratification between fractions characterized by different moisture levels.

During the process:

  • the finest and lightest particles are transported by the air flow towards the upper filtration system, recovered and subsequently discharged;
  • the coarser and wetter fractions remain on the working surface and are continuously homogenized by the bed movement;
  • the product discharge takes place in a controlled manner, helping to ensure uniformity and repeatability of the final product characteristics.

The fluidization principle exploits the progressive variation of the physical characteristics and bulk density of the material during drying.

As the product loses moisture, the lighter particles progressively tend to migrate towards the upper layers of the bed, while the heavier and wetter fractions remain closer to the treatment zone.

This dynamic helps to reduce the risk of product overheating, while promoting uniform drying and a high level of control over final product quality.

The launch of this collaboration represents the beginning of a future-oriented journey, based on the enhancement of expertise, technological innovation and the commitment to developing increasingly effective solutions for the industrial drying sector.
